Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern

Current Science Georgia maintains the integrity of the scholarly record through proportionate post-publication action.

Corrections

Material errors that do not invalidate the central findings may be corrected through a dated and linked correction notice. Minor typographical changes may be updated without changing the scholarly meaning.

Retractions

Retraction may be considered where findings are unreliable because of misconduct or major error, publication is redundant, research is unethical, authorship is seriously disputed, or legal and integrity concerns require removal of reliance on the article.

Expressions of concern

An expression of concern may be issued while a serious matter is investigated and evidence is not yet conclusive.

Record preservation

Notices should identify the affected article, state the reason in neutral language, preserve the record where legally possible and link bidirectionally between the notice and article.
